Supported browsers

ERDism runs in a web browser. There is nothing to install.

Browsers we support

We support the latest two major versions of these browsers:

  • Google Chrome
  • Microsoft Edge
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Apple Safari, on macOS and on iPhone and iPad

We test ERDism on these browsers and fix problems that appear in them. Other browsers built on the same engines, such as Brave, Opera or Vivaldi, usually work too, but we do not test them.

Older browsers

ERDism is built to start in Chrome and Edge 107, Firefox 104, Safari 16, or a later version. In a version that is older than the latest two but newer than those, most things work, but we do not fix problems that appear only there. In an older version still, ERDism may not start at all.

If something looks wrong or does not respond, update your browser first. Most browsers update themselves; you can check for an update in the browser's settings, usually under "About".

Phones and tablets

You can read projects, review changes and make small edits on a phone or tablet. Drawing and arranging large diagrams is easier on a bigger screen with a keyboard.

Settings ERDism needs

  • JavaScript must be on. The docs can be read without it.
  • Cookies must be allowed for erdism.com, to keep you signed in. The Privacy policy explains each cookie.
